FITMENT & COMPATIBILITY HELP

Frequently Asked Questions About MAGTATCH

Technical answers covering fitment, drawer clearance, magnet strength, and installation.

How strong are the encased pot magnets on MAGTATCH protectors?

Each MAGTATCH model is engineered with between 2 and 6 downward-directional 120 lb pull force encased pot magnets (providing up to 480 lb total magnetic hold). They securely mount heavy 1/2" impact wrenches, grease guns, and hammer drills to vehicle lift posts, steel service carts, and toolboxes without sliding or dropping.

Does MAGTATCH prevent battery removal or block the LED fuel gauge?

No. Every MAGTATCH is custom-molded to fit the exact contours of its corresponding OEM battery. The perimeter armor shields the housing from high-impact concrete drops while leaving dual release latches and LED charge indicators 100% accessible.

How do I install MAGTATCH onto my cordless battery?

Zero screws, bolts, or clamps are required. Place the MAGTATCH protector on a flat metal surface (the magnets help stabilize it), align your battery with a cordless tool attached for leverage, and press firmly downward until fully seated.

Can I charge the battery with MAGTATCH installed?

On standard open-faced slide chargers (such as common Milwaukee M18 and DeWalt chargers), the battery slides into terminal slots with the MAGTATCH installed. For deeply recessed multi-bay chargers, the slip-on design allows fast removal in seconds.
